How to Clean a Boat Mercruiser Engine room?

I want to do a deep clean to my engines, so I am wonder if i can applied water to it. any ideas about this process will be appreciate. Thx

    I hit mine with purple power and then hose it out real good. I don’t do the top of the engines.

    I used Simple Green and rinsed it off. Also used a wet vac to get everything out of the bilge.

    is it ok to rise off the engine with water?

    I have rinsed mine. I just avoid the back where there are lots of wires and the ECU.

    Similar to @YYZRC, spray with PP, leave for a little while and then power wash. Light spray off the tops. Also best done before launch so to drain out otherwise like @Handymans342 said, suck or mop it up.

    Yes, you can rinse with low pressure like a garden hose.  The connectors are all IP65 or better.  Don't use a pressure washer on the top of the engine, but a hose is fine.
