420 Fire Suppression System

I am told the system needs replacement. When I run the diesel blower there's a loud constant tone, same with the engines. Is it possible that's some kind of warning not to operate the boat with the failed suppression system?

If you have the fire it system and diesels your engines shouldn't even start if the system is bad or disconnected. As for replacement? Why? You can always get the tanks refilled. Actually that is something you are supposed to do every two years.  It took a little searching but I found a guy by me that did it for $40.

Is it a Fireboy-Xintex system?  I would call them.

Diesel fire suppression is quite different than gasoline types.
