Kohler 5E not cranking

Marina advised me my 5E would not start and asked if I wanted to open a work order which I declined. Checked the genset last week and it did not crank but I could hear the fuel pump energize. Just in case it was a low voltage problem I removed the battery switch and shorted it but no difference. Googled 5E not cranking which led me to a Rinker post from 2013 and a link to Kohler 5E service manual I did not have with excellent troubleshooting guides. Followed them this weekend and it is the starter solenoid that is defective. I now have a replacement for installing next weekend which will be PIA because of location and my flexibility.
