Swim platform hollow?

Anyone familiar with the 90s 300s, is the factory moulded in swim platform hollow?  I’m working on getting my new Swim Platform Ultra fitted up and I’m worried about bolting it on. The swim platform sounds (by knocking) like it’s hollow without a core.

It is hollow as in not solid from top to bottom. I just drilled a hole in my 280 platform to run a transducer wire and it is solid fiberglass about 1/4" thick on the bottom portion, seems like the upper portion would be the same.

I did drill close to the transom where the swim platform meets the transom so that may be why it's solid on that portion of the swim deck. Either way you're not the first to bolt a swim platform on so I wouldn't worry. I have a friend with a 90s era carver 28' and they have a swim platform bolted on with no issues.
