2001 Fiesta Vee 242 Panel Switch and Dimmer wiring

Someone messed with the wiring in my panel and I'm trying to sort out the connections.  I now have everything working BUT the Panel light via the dimmer rocker switch.  I really need the wiring diagram for the Dimmer plug and the Switch.  I have ordered a new dimmer but doubt that it is bad.   Switch has 3 connection posts and Dimmer plug has 4.  For the dimmer plug: Pin 1has red wire; Pin 2 Blue wire; Pin 3 Purple; Pin 4 Black.  Blue wire (pin 2) from dimmer plug goes to light connection to the gauges.  What I need help with is the proper wiring to the 3 switch posts.   Where does the power source (from Nav/Anchor light switch) connect to the Panel light Dimmer switch.   Sorry for the lenght of this but I have searched all posts and experimenting has yielded no results.

Also I have a Brown/Green wire with female spade connector disconnected and cannot find what it is for.

Here's a set of schematics for a 2007 280.  Have a look at page 50.  It doesn't totally answer your question, but might help.
