Cabin door molding pulling off.

My 270 has a rubber molding that goes around the cabin door.  Since I've owned the boat it's been pulling off and people inevitably grab it when going down into the cabin.  Looking on suggestions on how to secure it.  Adhesive doesn't seem like it would work.  I bought some stainless screws...but doesn't seem like the gasket covers enough of the fiberglass to screw into.

    Had the same issue. It also seems that over time it shrinks a bit and the corner would always come off. I used a heat gun (gently) to give it some stretch and then a two part epoxy which held until I sold the boat.
