Anchor Locker Gas Spring

Anyone added a gas spring to the anchor locker lid? Saw a Cobalt with one and realized how great it would be to not have to hold the lid open with my leg when deploying/retrieving the anchor and worrying about the wind blowing it shut on me.

That locker has scared me many times with a SLAM! from the wind.

Yes but I usually have the door open to watch the rode feed back through the windlass and into the storage locker. Plus I hold the anchor back with at least 2 bungees to take the strain off the windless and you need it open for that activity.
