Aronow lived a big life, that's for sure.  

You inspired me to do some reading, followed by watching this 3-part series on the 1967 racing season.  Seems very much like car racing in that era, where the driver's physical stamina matters as much as anything else.

At one point, it says:  "And if you sink an offshore racing boat, say goodbye to thirty thousand dollars!"  But even with inflation, that's only $262k today.  Seems like a bargain compared to modern racing boats!

As a kid I used to wear those bubble face helmets in the early 80’s racing go karts. Couldn’t see anything out of them. Pretty much just blocked the wind.
Can’t imagine blasting over to Nassau with one of those on your melon.

That was some interesting reading @YYZRC- i had no idea of the roots of those companies, that's crazy.
