Fiesta Vee 360 was stock from factory 496 Mags Bravo 3 with 2.0 Ratio drives

New to me 2005 Rinker Fiesta Vee 360 was stock from factory 496 Mags Bravo 3 with 2.0 Ratio drives.
So here is my issue just checked my drive ratio while servicing my drives port drive 2 turn to one on output (2:1) while the starboard is 2.2 turns to 1 (2.2:1) It has a metal tag that states 2:1Previous owner must have it repaired or changed.
WOT Port 4566rpm Starboard 4895rpm 39MPH
Cruise Port 4194 rpm Starboard 4217 rpm 34 MPH Port engine throttle advanced more apx 300 rpm
Did stall test both engines apx 2000rpm in gear starboard wot easily reached 4500rpm port barely made 3800rpm
I was starting to check port engine for lack of power but this explains the 400 rpm loss at WOT
MERCURY BRAVO THREE BOAT PROPELLER 48-823665 24P| (xx" X 24 P)????  INNER  Both Drives Props Checked
MERCURY BRAVO THREE BOAT PROPELLER 48-823666 Mercury 24P (xx"x 24P)???   OUTER
Looking for thoughts run it, repitch props to gear rpm back on port engine, Running stock props change ratio

I would replace the upper unit of the drive with one that is the correct ratio. Any other approach means you have to explain it when you sell the boat which is sub optimal at best.

I’m sure you could sell your incorrect ratio upper unit and recover most of your $$.

Agree, install the right upper unit and sell yours on eBay.

For comparison.  My boat is a 2007 370 (same hull as yours) with 496s and 2:00 B3 drives.  Props are Merc XR 4/3 23-pitch props.  At WOT I'm hitting 44 mph around 4800 RPM.

BTW I have two sets of 23-pitch XR 4x3 props on eBay.  Special discount for members of this forum.

    My current numbers
    WOT Port 4566rpm(2:1 ratio) Starboard 4895rpm (2.2:1 ratio) 39MPH
Trying to get the best cruise speed I can currently
Port 4194 rpm(2:1 ratio)  Starboard 4217 rpm(2.2:1 ratio) 34 MPH Port engine throttle advanced more down apx 300 rpm
is where it is happy even with the ratios being off .2 I wish I could get the rpms down but if I lower them boat sinks a bit and speed drops off.

Do you have current cruise numbers with 4x3 bladed props was it a big difference.

@tricountytrail if you replace the upper and decide to change props, I would recommend 4x4’s

If the boat is falling off plane when you reduce throttle, consider adjusting the weight balance.  Even on your big boat, moving weight forward can make a big difference.  Don't store heavy stuff at the back.  I added ballast to the bow.  When I go for a long cruise with a full cooler, I put the cooler up in the v-berth.

Totally agree if I could get the wife to lighten the load or at least store the heavy stuff under the front berth I think it will help alot. I wish they could of put the fuel tanks more forward.
