2009 280 EC , the dining table post , it is a push down solid wood table for the cushions

I need to figure it out when we unscrewed the handle in center to drop it the little metal hole piece in side fell down, we can get it up with screw driver but cannot get it to work or screw back in to the groove inside. HELP and where do I buy this pole or parts, if we disassemble the post from floor will there be parts that fell? boat has 100 hours on entire thing like new. I dont know what we did. table wobbly and unusable, THANK YOU

    Nothing. The table just goes into the floor for 6 to 8 inches. Removing the 8 screws and retrieving the square nut wouldn’t take that much time.
