Starboard switch always on

The red light is always on my battery switch on the starboard side.  When I press on the remote switch I hear a beep and the light stays on.  Turn off from remote switch the red light stays on.  Port side battery switch light functions correctly. This does not seem normal.

The manual states that if you switch from "ON" back to "AUTO", you must first switch to "OFF". I would try that first to reset the switch.
