Entering Canada (Toronto Harbor) from United States CBP ROAM app

Planning to head over to Toronto From US home port (Wilson). Wondering what the new procedure is with the CBP ROAM app. Looking for any tips what not to bring or issues people may have. Thanks.

Also looking for transient dock we used to stay on toronto island and take the ferry, 40' vessel.

We are headed to Sarnia Canada today from the US. When we get to Canada we will call in from our cell phone to check in. That’s it. CBP roam ap is for checking back in to the US when you get back to your US dock. You need to have paid for the DTOPS sticker when you check back in to the US. You don’t need it in hand but you need to have paid and have the sticker number when you check back in to the US.

As Liberty said - just call in to Canada Customs & report in. ArriveCAN app doesn’t work well for marine.

As above - have your DTops loaded into the US CBP Roam app when you return to Wilson.

No idea about transient docks in Toronto.

CBP Roam app works quite well. Pretty seamless.

Better pack a lunch for the phone call to report in to Canada Customs. When we reported in to Canada Customs a week ago - we were on hold for 45min.

If you have Nexus there is a different phone # to call and check in. Hanlans Wall on Toronto Island is very busy on weekends,  no reservation it's on a first come basis.
