Starboard and port engines not sync rinker 340ec

Hi all,
was out for a sail and everything was working perfect, stopped for a minute and when I went to continue the boat wouldn’t get on a plane (engine temp good, oil pressure good) I then realized the motors were not synced, full throttle on port was equivalent to 1/2 throttle on starboard, I noticed it smelt a little like fuel, I shut the boat down, waiting a minute fired it back up and it was fine. Any thoughts on what this could be? I’m just concerned because I have a 3 hour sail coming up each way and just want to get it fixed incase it becomes more serious.

Here is the better choice when doing your fuel filters. The discount items on ebay are 30-40 micron which is a no go on the cool fuel.. These are $50 for a full set and are better than factory items.
