Anybody use C-Maps?

I have a Raymarine e97 Multi-Function Display (MFD) currently running Navionics (Garmin) charts, which is up for renewal.

Thinking about trying C-Maps. Supposedly that's what most cruise/larger ships use?

Looked at my manual and my choices where LightHouse (Raymarine), Navionics, or C-Maps.

LightHouse no longer supports/sells charts for the e97, so they are out - and it comes down to Navionics or C-Maps.

Anyone out there using C-Maps and have an opinion?

My Simrad unit came with C-Maps. I played around with C-Maps a bit and I’m sure it would have been fine but I was comfortable with Navionics so I didn’t really entertain switching.

I also build routes on the Navionics App and transfer to my plotter. Not sure if you can do that with C-Maps?

I haven't used c-maps but for the Great Loop I will be running Navionics on the axiom chart plotter and on my new large tablet I'll be running a new app called Argo. We were at their booth at the Rendezvous and liked what I saw. I haven't subscribed yet waiting for another week. Here is a review link.

@Grahamu - Interesting. Downloaded the Argo app and looks promising. May try it on a tablet. If it works, would use the MFD strictly for radar, and the tablet for navigation. Thanks!

No radar overlay?  That's one of the biggest benefits of an integrated plotter/radar system.

@TonyG13 what did you decide? I just renewed Navionics.

I stuck with Navionics for now. I'll probably do some more armchair research over the winter and see if I try something new when renewal comes around next season.
