@YYZRC could you just mount the Bennett drop fins slightly inboard on each side of the tab and at the 6 degree angle that you calculated? Only downside I see are a few holes in the tab. Sure, you don't have them at full span, but...
The cucumber in the rear position is good. Might not need to modify the tabs at all. I can now get up on plane with 1/3 tabs and drives down. Any more than 1/3 tabs and the bow is too low and it plows.
