Cap and rotor - recommendation re OEM/AM?

Time to change them out and I have seen in the forum various feedback about OEM vs aftermarket. The search is great if you want 2145 items to walk through :) so I though I’d ask first for recent experiences. I have the Mercruiser 5.0 MPI 2003 era.

    mallory or sierra are fine. Even the cheap ones are probably just fine... I mean they are just plastic with some electrodes... I bet the cap and rotor on my engines are 5-6 years old, aftermarket. I just clean the inside electrodes once a season. (i also keep a spare on the boat)

    I have changed mine once and think I did the Sierra also..seems like I was looking for something the other day and aftermarket seemed all I could get- I'm 2007
