Can anyone explain/identify this? 2006 Fiesta Vee 270

This "hump" is under the aft lounge seat and also accessible through the transom hatch.  I had presumed it could be a placeholder for a piece of missing hardware...I have no idea.  I want to cut it out and patch the HDPE so that it lays flush, as it's just an ugly waste of space.  Anyone?

Cut and patch.  It's part of a system to store a small outboard motor for a dinghy.  My 342 had one, but the 370 did not.

Thanks @LaRea my 342 has one and never knew what the heII it was. Now I know...lol

I guess I'm not understanding the view- mine has a storage for a dingy motor...but it is recessed in, not a hump.

@rasbury that is looking down and aft in the rearmost underseat storage area...you can't quite see it, but at the very back is the aft locker/hatch door that some FV270s have.

The mercury 3.3hp 2-stroke fits perfectly under that seat.
