Kholer Genset Axial Fan

My local kholer generator has the following Axial fan install on top of the generator enclosure to remove heat from the unit on display. It look good, but I don't know if it is a good upgrade for the generator. I normally run the genset with the from door of the enclosure open, so I can see the unit running with my ENG Room camera for any abnormally issue at night. What do you think about it?

Must be a Florida thing :) I’ve never seen fans added. But it makes sense given all the heat as long as there is another intake or output opening for flow. But I agree with you leaving the access panel off there really is no need. You could just run the genny blower to circulate air with that panel open.

Genny is so finicky I wouldn’t want to mess with it!

I think a fan would not be needed unless the generator is in direct sunlight.

Doesn't the generator get louder when you open the front panel?  The only purpose of the enclosure is to control noise.
