Seawater Raw water pump

I know these kits have been a topic of discussion in the past and they have been difficult to locate.
This company makes the wear plates to add to your worn out pump. You will need to get the impellor to make this a complete kit. I have used these in the past with good success so I thought i would pass the info along

I was trying to open that as I have also used the wear plate kit- my impeller that came with the plates was not as much a 16th" shorter- but it for sure was - don't see how a std one could possibly work. I've had great success and about time to change..

You can use either the STD impellor or the .30 shorter version which has the red paint on the middle of the drive Part # 8M0103389. The red paint on the shaft portion is how you know its the shorted impellor. Instructions from Merc are in this post and it calls out the shorter part #

If you watch the video he elongates one hole to make it work.  Not sure if that would affect pulley alignment

Any recommendations re rebuild or replace (OEM or AM) a stock pump with a slow shaft seal drip? Not interested in the Hardin that a few of you have had issues with, my 20 year old OEM’s have been fine till now and don’t see the expense worth it.
