Neutral safety switch help

On my starboard engine I am having more and more difficulty getting it started. Each time it seems I have to wiggle the shifter more and more to get it to turn. I understand the switch is within the controls. Can anyone enlighten me on the best procedure to get in to where the switch is? Can I just bypass the switch? Yes I know that is not safe but just until I can get a new one Any help is appreciated Thanks
