Lake Erie overnight

Do the bugs get bad on Lake Erie overnight ? 
Like around Pottahawk , Bluffs bar or the Lighthouse at the tip of Long Point

    Can’t speak for those places but in the western basin the mayflies are coming in overnight pretty thick!

    Yes the bugs are bad. The trick is to close up tight before it gets dark other than the mast all around light. Then the next morning the arch will be covered in bugs that you will have to clean up. It is all worth it when you get a nice calm night. We love staying out overnight . You just have to watch for that east wind.
