HVAC Return Filter

Where do I find a replacement air filter for the return vent. It's an '05 342. The opening is 25 3/4" x 4 1/4. I tried a filter that's cut to size but I'm going to have to velcro it in place so it doesn't get sucked in. Is there a correctly sized filter available?

It wasn’t a pre made piece, it was this aluminum filter media thing, probably cut to fit.

Now that you say that, it was still with the boat but wasn't in the return amd was completely destroyed. I found it in a drawer but it was in such an recognizable mess I never put it together that's where it should have went. I'll be on the lookout for another. In the meantime I have made the cut to size filter work with velcro on the register.

In mine it in in front of the coils, not affixed to grill.

Sorry for the lack of response. We have been off work and out on the lake or at camp most of the last two and a half weeks and haven't really been online.  I don't have a filter at the coils, but next time I'm on the boat I'll look and see if there should be one there.  For now, I found a cut to size filter that had a plastic grid with it. The grid and filter fit behind the grill like it was made to be there.

I bought something like this and cut it to fit. It’s just a tad thick so it takes some patience to get the door to close but works great, easy to clean and much more effective at catching dirt than the original.
