Fuel Tank Leak

I have a 1993 Fiesta Vee 260, I noticed a petrol smell in the cabin and on closer inspection found inside the steps leading up to the cockpit fuel was weeping into the left hand corner I assume from the tank ?  and someone had already tried a bodge with some mastic sealer.......any advice would be helpful, a nightmare methinks !!

    Id never trust a tank patch,  gas goes boom.  Replace the tank.

    Welcome to the forum.  Yeah, I think you're in for a world of hurt.  I haven't seen a 260 on this forum with tank leaks, but we've had a couple 342s and other boats over the years.  Do a search for "fuel leak" or "bladder" and you'll find some of the discussions.

    On our 270. I think if I pulled the motor I'd be able to snake the tank out- hooe I don't get to test this theory...
