Navionics Question

On the boat I have a newer Axiom 12. A few years ago I bought Raymarine Lighthouse charts instead of Navionics because it was cheaper and it came with a ton of really cool features like satellite imaging and POI which was free for the last few years and is now $49 per year. Has been just fine, no complaints there. From what I can tell the only thing I lose with Lighthouse vs Navionics is auto routing which I know many love but I dont care about (although have never tried).

I bought the Navionics app's for my ipad and iphone many years and downloaded maps. Well the maps are now out dated and I want to go father than what I downloaded, and Navionics has switched to a subscription on the apps from just buying the app for $10 - $50 as I did many years ago.

So now I am thinking of updating everything (Axiom, iPad, iPhone) to a new Navionics subscription. Is that possible? Can I buy Navionics for the Axiom for $200 and then have one Subscription across the Axiom, iPhad and iPhone so that all of them have up to date charts?

I know one subscription works for iPad and iPhone.

It will probably work for the Axiom because you would log in using your username and password for the Navionics account.

I pay for the iPad/iPhone version separately from the chartplotter card. Hopefully you find a way to combine!

Thanks guys. My gut tells me that they are separate but at least the iPhone/iPad versions can be combined to one account. Will keep digging. I may keep lighthouse for the Axiom and pay the subscription for the apple devices.

I replaced my electronics a few months ago and had to buy a separate card reader for my Axiom 16 from Raymarine . The Navionics chip and subscription account only is for the chip, I have no way to use it for anything else. Kind of a ripoff.

Agree goalie. I get paying for the Axiom chip, but $50 per year subscription should give us updates to the Axiom and use of the app's.

The auto routing feature is nice but probably not worth renewing when the free one runs out after one year. I was just planning on making sure it is updated just before it runs out and then go from there.
