Fault alarm

I know for a fact that I have faults with my engine, faults that should sound alarms. But, no alarm tones have sounded as long as I've had the boat, so I'm guessing the prevowner somehow disarmed the alarm.
Where do I start to rectify this? 
I have a 2003 FV 250 with 5L MPI Bravo 3.

    Is the speaker disconnected? It’s part of the ignition circuit at the helm.

    Like @YYZRC said ... when you first turn the ignition key, do you hear a beep?  If there's no beep, the alarm horn is not working.  The horn is a plastic disk about 1" diameter and 1" thick.  One for each engine, wired into that rat's nest of wires at the helm.  

    It's critical safety equipment.
