5K Kholer generator

So I was out on the water the other day and I turned on the generator. It ran for 20 to 30 minutes then shut down. I was able to start it back up but it only last a few minutes. This happened one other time at the end of last season. Before I put the boat in the water I changed the impeller and the anode. Any thoughts?

    Same thing was happening to me the year I bought my boat.  After chasing my tail for a while, it turned out to be a fouled spark plug.
