I spent 8 years in the Marine Corps working on RADAR and there is no reason for anything outside the profile of your boat to be visible to other vessels equipped with RADAR. It is simply radio waves bouncing off of what ever it hits and returning to the receiver for interpretation.

MT,
On touch screen GPS, they are quite different from the traditional buttons and knobs style. I had one, only one opportunity to navigate with a touch screen. I couldn't use it. I was always touching the screen to point things out. And the "head up" feature that it had, "north up" for me or it is going to be a tough long voyage.
I guess you can't teach an old dog new trix.
