over heating

After changing impeller,coupling, thermostat,over filling reservoir and using bleeding screw, I found an old thread that somebody put 1/8 barb with hose and sucked coolant through to get air out, generator now stays running.

    Where did you put the barb? Did you just leave it in place and cap it off?

    It is a 1/8in fitting with a Barb sticking out. I put a hose on the Barb and the other side of the pump hose into the reservoir. And as you pump the bulb on the siphon air was coming out and I continued until liquid started refilling the reservoir. I did have to add coolant in between to the reservoir
