Rear bilge pump

I'm trying to follow the wires from the rear bilge pump ( engine bay ) . With no luck. My bilge doesn't work with the wiring that is there. I tested the wiring and have 12 volts on the wires (with the switch and without), my ground is good. however not enough amperage to make the bilge work. So my thought is it's corrosion at a common source but I don't know where the wires are going. I checked the fuse at the back of the boat. Pulled that panel down and none of those wires for the AFT bilge are the same. Looked at the switch. None of those wires are the same .Any ideas and help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have the ability to test amps?  

If everything else on the boat is functional,  maybe hook the pump directly to the battery and see if it works.   If it doesn't the usually bet is on a faulty bilge, these do not live in the best of conditions and are failure prone.

If you know you have power then I would assume it is a bad pump.  Most of these are not exactly expensive well-built units. Even a little bit of amperage should turn the pump enough to feel it working (assuming a dry bilge.)  Consider upgrading to a higher GPM pump.
