I have a switch on my 270 that I have not been able to figure out what its for. You push it down and as soon as you release it, it pops back up. Does this make sense to anyone? Its unmarked.
You didn't specify where it is located...on the dash? Horn, hatch, and dimmer switches are stock on the 270 and are momentary (push-and-hold) IIRC. The farthest right button on my dash was labeled ACC and wasn't tied to anything, but mine was a non-momentary ON-OFF switch.
Aftermarket momentary switch buttons could include aux push-to-talk, alarm silence, or some kind of voltmeter switch (to test 2nd battery bank) or something different altogether.
It's just a regular carling type switch on the switch bank along with the hatch switch and lights etc. It could be dimmer I will check that out next night outing.. it's not horn as I found that.
@grouch0jr my switch covers are all jacked up. Mine looks like that but no markings. But I am beginning to think it's a dimmer. @aero3113 unfortunately I don't have an arch.
Yeah, a few models I looked at had "bleached" switch covers, some so bad you couldn't read anything at all on them. Horn is up for on, but hatch and dimmer have both up and down momentary on if that helps.
It's one side only. I have identified the hatch, horn and if by winch your referring to my mindless i have identified it as well. I am going over to the boat done evening and see if its a dimmer.
