Try tapping on the gauge with your finger. If that doesn’t work, remove the gauge and move the switch on the back a bunch of times. Make sure you put the switch on the correct setting when done. It’s a known issue and these tricks usually help, if not you’ll have to send it in for repair.
FYI, i just had my tach sent in to Faria for repair for a similar issue. It might be more cost effective to just replace the gauge instead of repair, depending on what you have
