Carling Switch Wiring Harness

I need to rewire a couple switches on my dash, and each one has a connector for the wiring harness that holds all of the spade connectors. I can easily pull the connector off of the back of the switch, but how do I remove the spade connectors from the plastic connector?

If you look inside the connector when pulled off, you should see a clip holding the spade in, use a small screwdriver to push the clip down and pull the wire out.

You might have to bend the clip back up when you put it back in the connector.

Is the clip plastic?

I think it’s part of the spade connector, metal. I believe that’s how these are set up, I could be wrong.
