Health challenges, and Potential sale of Rinker (hopefully not!)

My absence from the Rinker page for the past month comes with a serious reason for me. I am in the fight of my life, against a gnarly Staph infection! I got infected from a simple Cortisone injection,  for something minor. That quickly spiraled out of control. I'll share a few pictures, so viewer beware! Nothing gross, but it's pretty extreme.   The two of my hands represent good hand/bad hand. My entire arm looked like this and was FULL of Staph.  The other picture is my reality for 6 weeks what I'm facing.  A 47cm (18.5"!) IV pickline that goes in my bicep, and curls up and around to end straight in my heart. Every 8 hours for 6 weeks, I'm getting IV antibiotics.
Three hospital stays, and two surgeries is my month in a nutshell. I am facing some serious medical bills. I do have some disability,  and sick pay coming in, but they aren't even close to paychecks! My reality is the boat might be the 1st toy to get liquidated if needed. I am PRAYING it doesn't come to that, but it sure might.  I am asking this, with a heavy and very humble heart, if some of you would be able to contribute a little something to help my family. I am a prideful man, and this kills me to ask this of strangers I've never met in person, but Rinker feels like family......so here I am asking for your support.  This goes with @raybo3 's blessing! I'd never dream of asking without permission!
My three ways I have are PayPal- TNBLALOCK@aol.com , Venmo is @Travis-Blalock-8 , and my Zelle number is 928-699-0455. I am embarrassed asking,  but deeply grateful for anything you can spare 🙏

You're not wrong.  But that's a fight for another day.

Travis - So sorry that you have to go through this. Praying for the best. Having worked in healthcare for 26 years and while not a doctor (or lawyer) -- getting MRSA after an injection may be nosocomial. Meaning it originated at the place of treatment and/or standard sanitary practices were not followed during treatment which resulted in the infection. Have you reached out to an attorney? If not, you may also want to explore that option.

Thank you for the advice. Every single step of the way has been documented, and will be dealt with at some point. For now though, my full time job is getting better. My life revolves around getting my IV antibiotics every 8 hours, without fail.  Ya never realize how many things you can't do, when you have to stop everything for 20 minutes or so, at 6am, 2pm, and 10pm, 7 days a week!   Lots of doctor appointments, and PT as well.  But I'm ALIVE, and God hasn't grown tired of my prayers just yet haha.

Travis- we have sure added you to our prayers. You have been on the forum a while and may recall what our family has gone through which is 6 years now. Probably should have sold our boat a few years back - it's the biggest tinker prohect ever and barley use it. $$ is part of the equation for sure. We always manage to make it work. The admiral is retired for 10 years or so - i completed one...totally unplanned.  Ya make plans and god laughs so we just run without one.

Thank you. My road to recovery is a slow one, but I'm seeing small gains. The Staph infection attacked all the muscles in my arm.  Not having the strength to lift the weight of just your arm is a mental mind F#*K.   Dreaming of lake trips, but probably not until at least July. I've been off work 5 weeks already
