Yesterday I saw a heart-wrenching Facebook post about a boater dealing with a gruesome injury on the boat. Medical help was hours away, and all they had was a normal first aid kit until the Coast Guard arrived with a trauma kit. It was gripping and terrifying ...
... until I realized it was phony. Total 100% fake -- a shameless advertisement for a company that sells trauma kits. A professional ad writer using AI to masquerade as a boater in distress.
I won't dignify it by posting the link here, but it's not hard to find. Don't believe most of what you see on Facebook!
