How do you get the toilet pump to stop squeaking

2000 FV 270 what is the best thing to use for lubricant on the pump rod on the toilet??? Its driving us a little crazy every time you pump it into the black tank it squeaks when you go up or down.

West Marine "head lube". Or a Jabsco re-build kit which should fix it all, which is what I did in our 270.

Thanks for all the great ideas!!! So far sense new the only thing the toilet has been used for is to recycle
beer, wine, and water. LOL LOL

If your having trouble I think buying a new pump is the way to go simple

I picked up the solution of putting a few drops of baby oil into the water of the head and pumping it.  It is a very inexpensive way to lubricate the components.  Honestly It wasn't meant to be a joke.
