And at lower revs, like motoring along at no wake speed, the vibration was annoying. I ended up with a 19ft boat with a small block 5 liter V8. I now have a 246 Captiva with a Mercruiser 350 MAG MPI. My brother has a 19 ft boat with a 4.3 Liter V6 and claims to be happy with the performance. I guess if you don't have many people on board and you're not going to indulge in towing type activities (skiing, tubing, wakeboarding, etc) this may work for you. I know "Petrol" is hideously expensive in the UK and a smaller displacement engine may be less thirsty, but a larger motor works less hard and has the reserve power, if needed. Be sure to take the boat out & put it through its paces to determine if it will meet your requirements. Good luck

My last boat was a 19' cuddy (Citation) with that same engine and I enjoyed it fine. I will admit I like my 21 foot with the V8 better, but the 4 cyl was fine for that 19 footer. As to the Rinker 182 compared to similar sized 18 footers from other brands, I think that you will be happy. Like Rinkers in general it will be better built than many middle and lowere end boats (Bayliner, etc.) and not as well built as some of the higher end brands (Crownline, Cobalt, etc.). The MOST important thing in a 2000 model year boat however is how it was taken care of. A poorly maintained Cobalt is a far worse buy than a well cared for Bayliner, especially after some 14 years.
