Prop. for a 2008 Captiva 226.

Hi,

I have a 2008 Captiva 226 with a 5.0 MPI Mercruiser and the Alpha 1 drive. What is a good prop. size and pitch for this boat - mostly cruising, no towing. The boat does have trim tabs.

    First of all, welcome to the forum.

    On my identically equipped 2008 226, I use a 4 blade cupped stainless with an 18" pitch for towing. For general cruising, I would use the stock pitch of 19" but in a 3 blade stainless.
