GPS Garmin/Simrad

I am thinking of installing the Garmin 740s or the Simrad NSS7? Does anyone here have them on their boats? Pros/Cons?

The 740 is on sale RIGHT NOW at a crazy wicked price at West Marine. November  8, 2013 - seriously, it's loaded with maps too!  I had one, it was an awesome touch screen - really fast! Good Luck MT

The 740 is NMEA 0183 and 2000 compatible, will accept a Mercury NMEA 2000 energized backbone (or any NMEA 2000 link-ups for that matter) and has tons of great features, including a personal favourite of mine - drift alarm.  I even wired it to my vhf to provide constant gps position up-dates. You can often get the special satellite map colored G-Vision chip for it at significantly discounted prices too and it is amazing. They are probably discounting the 740 so heavily as there is a new version out that has a super fast chip (glonass 10 up-dates per second) but at the price WM is asking the 740 - it is an amazing unit - in my opinion. MT..... PS I had one on my 2013 EC 310 for the summer and it was really great - my buddy liked it so much he bought one for his 2011 EC 310.....but not for $750!
