Fiesta Vee 242 1999 Depth Gage

Depth gage stopped working. Please advise is the sensor inside or outside the hull? I'm a newbie. Should I be looking at the electrical connections or should I hunt down the sensor and see if it's damaged? Thanks

    It should be a thru hull sensor.  Start by looking at your connections for corrosion.

    Thanks for your response. The boats on trailer. I took a look around but could not see the sensor. I assume it's by the drive / transom somewhere. Will look again today.
