    Hey Michael T, On the old website I vaguely remember someone adding a a piece a plywood and small gas shocks to their forward berth. I think they put the wood under the mattress, then somehow hooked the shocks to the storage compartments. This would make it easy to pick up the mattress and also hold it open. Maybe someone remembers better than me ow this was done.
