Macerator Running

I have a 2008 350, does anyone know or have some suggestions as to why my Macerator after roughly 1 of every 2 two uses runs continuously. When it does this the fix is to flush another bowl of water This usually makes it stop I searched the forum and could not find this issue. Any advice , please ?
