Just wanted to introduce myself. We just purchased a 2000 Captiva 232 CC, 361 Hours, 7.4 EFI, Bravo 3. Plan to have it on Marblehead (Lake Erie) for the summer. She's been neglected for quite sometime, so I have my work cut out for me before she's ready for the water. I've been lurking for a while, and have already gained a lot of information from the site.

No questions yet, starting to wet sand with 1500, need to replace the batteries, sending out the props for a refurb, waiting on local dealer to get back to me regarding pricing of interior pieces (trash can latch, gauge surround), the list goes on. Luckily this is our 3rd boat, so I knew what I was in for.

Ahhhhh - the great 232s - if it has the 502 silent choise option it is a beast! :-) MT

I wasn't familiar with the 502 so... I looked it up, WOW that thing is a beast! I just have the lowly 454 with Corsa "Captains Call" Exhaust

A 454 is a great engine. Real strong. I think you probably have 330 HP with that engine and a lot of low end torque! Your 232 is a very strong hull, particularly in the cabin version - a truly great boat! Way to go. MT
