charging voltage range

Howdy,

I searched "charging voltage" and game up with zip.......

I have a 270 with a 350. Had an issue with new batteries, one does not seem to be charging, does the barely want to start when it's hot but cranked it at home just fine later. Voltage when running 13.8, battery 2 was a hair past 14. What is the range it's supposed to be? When charging on shore power I have shore on and the battery charger switch on, does a battery have to be on? The "hot" battery not wanting to restart the motor and starting ok later when cool mean something? All the connections are flawless....

If you replace the switch, look into getting a "Make before break" switch. That way you can switch the batteries without loosing contact with the other battery.

that's I am now wondering.....one good thing I confirmed, it's good to have a jump box as I pulled both batteries out to have them load tested.....I think I will search a little in the archieves (wher is that spell check?) and start another thread on the switch if need be. Thanks for the input on the volts!
