We use a shark bagless cyclonic. Does great. Only problem is that it overheats on heavy use and you have to let it cool down so that you can use it again. But usually not a problem

Craftsman 2.5 gallon 1.75hp, paid like $30 for it.
Works really well for its size, and its mostly for dog fur. Had to get a longer hose, but otherwise works well. It is 110V only, so you'll need an inverter or shore power.
I have a central vac at home, but still mostly use the dirt devil. When people come over, I would rather grab the dirt devil and quickly go over the house. I'm done in like 10 minutes. So easy to use. The vacuum is for the cleaners.
