Flame Arrestor Location and Cleaning

Hi

I need to clean my flame arrestor.  Is that the air filter looking thing right on top of the engine and what is a good way to clean it (I was told spray carb cleaner on it)?  I have a Fiesta Vee 280.

    That's it! It helps to brush/vacuum out the big stuff, then you can actually wash it with dish soap/detergent and dry. Carb/brake cleaner work fine too.

    I'm sure you already know this, but remove it before you clean it. You don't want all the grime going into your throttle body.
