I'd be asking for a new replacement unit. Just my .02. It cannot be blocked air since the cold works. If the lake water is flowing fine as you note, it's not that either.
If lake water temp is above 75 or so then the heat pump evap coil can pull to much heat from the water causing a high pressure situation .the sysstem couldd be a little over charged. This checked by superheat should be 5 to 10 degress. But bet its lake water temp good luck. I am a industrial hvac guy
you know, sometimes you just have to take it somewhere else to have it looked at....shop may be a great place but overlooking something....a fresh set of eyes on it may be the answer!
