Fuel rate on my Lowrance HDS 5

So my HDS-5 has an info page that shows various engine data....fuel burn, engine temp etc. Have any of you guys used that? Are sensors already on the motors or do I have to purchase them? Are they expensive? I'm curious about fuel burn and would like to monitor that.
FYI...I have 5.7 Volvo engines on my boat

Thanx for the info Brian....did some research on this last night after I read your comment. Pretty easy to do and not that expensive.
