Ski/tow attachment

2005 270 fiesta VEE- boat has no ski hook on transom. I have seen posts on running a tow line for from both cleats. However, don't want undue strain on cleats. Where is everyone else towing from? Thanks

I bought a ski tow harness which will attach to the transom eyes below the swim platform. Not ideal but will work. I am looking to find a place on the transom to mount a ski eye, but the fender holders on the 310 make that challenging. I personally would not attach to the cleats.

Same problem my fender rack is right in the middle. I agree don't want to run off the cleats

do you have tie down for trailering on the transom? that's where we used to hook up the tow harness to YEARS ago!

I do below swim platform. But would be worried about tangle in the prop. What do you think?

If you get one like this one, it floats, so there usually isn't an issue with the props.

Why are you worried about a harness to the cleats?  Cleats can handle loads much higher than a ski rope could possibly put on them.  You could tow a 5-ton boat with those cleats.  A skier is not going to hurt them.

Good point LaRea. I have read some earlier posts on piper cracks from ski lines. Any other thoughts
