tranducer hull question

I am looking to install a thru hull transducer on my 2014 mtx and while looking at the transducer instructions it mentions a cored fiberglass hull and what u have to do if you have one.. my question is do I have a cored fiberglass hull or just a fiberglass hull ???? the cored hull looks like a lot more work.hahah
thanks in advance for any info..

I had a cored hull and glued the transducer in the bottom side of the engine compartment. It was a Hummingbird fish finder/depthsounder. It worked great and always showed what the factory depth guage was as well. I used a meduim cure time resin from West Marine. (Don't drill holes in your hull- you don't need to).
