We have a 2007 246 and are very happy with it. It is big enough to get plenty of people on board, if desired, but can be trailered fairly easily with our Z71 Tahoe 5.3 liter. Our 246 has Merc 350 MAG MPI with Bravo III & Lenco trim tabs. 75 gal fuel tank. We take it to Lake of the Ozarks, the Mississippi River between Dubuque, Iowa & LaCross, Wisconsin, Mark Twain Lake, Lake Michigan, Green Bay-Door County and our local reservoir.
Just had the impeller and pump assembly replaced along with gear oil change and new Gen 3 cool fuel module fuel filter/water separator element. Cost was about $1,000.00, but that was because it needed a new pump assembly instead of just an impeller. It is really hard to get acess to it on the 246, but routine impeller replacement should only be about $300 for labor. I'm going to have ours done on a 3 year rotation. Not known if the previous owner ever replaced it. We have had the boat just over a year now.

DZ Member Posts: 55 ✭✭Have a 2006 246BR with the Merc 350 MAG MPI and Bravo III. No trim tabs, but plan to add them someday. This is our third full season with it, and it's been great overall. Only downside has been the quality of the stitching of the vinyl on seats and the sun deck. The vinyl itself is fine, but the stitches are too close together and the seams tear. Have had to have a couple of them repaired and restitched each off season. Since you're looking at new, hopefully Rinker is doing better with that now.
